Review Of Silent Thunder By Iris Johansen

This is the first novel written in collaboration between Iris Johansen and her son Roy Johansen…

The plot revolves around brilliant marine architect Hannah Bryson who has been given the job of a lifetime. A U.S. museum has just acquired the Soviet submarine Silent Thunder for public exhibition. It’s Hannah’s job to make sure that every single inch of the legendary nuclear attack sub is safe for the thousands of visitors. Enlisting the aid of her brother, Connor, they examine the enormous vessel and delve into its long  and lethal history.

During this investigation Connor discovers mysterious message behind ship panels but before he could decode it he is been killed , Hannah is attacked and the panels are stolen..Though the U.S. government tries to warn Hannah away, she’ll stop at nothing to find the ruthless mastermind behind her brother’s death. Even if it means joining forces with a mysterious man who may be even more dangerous than the enemy she has sworn to bring down… Now her only hope to survival is to unravel the sub’s secret and bring down the enemy once and for all…

The plot of book is very engaging but as a reader I was left wanting for more… The way the plot was written I was expecting lot more chemistry between the leads and a very gripping end.. But alas I dint get any.. So for me it was not as great novel as I was expecting…

I would rate it 2.5/5
