Northern Tadka , Malad (W)

Just before a year or so since i moved in to the so called corporate life had an immense opportunity to mingle wid new ppl comin frm varied backgrounds. Many of them wer from North since i bein the only one from Mumbai it was my duty to tk them to new places to eat diff kinda foods. One day they told me thy wanna hav typical north Indian food the more spicy it is more the fun, Enterin in to the picture my bro who for ur kind information is a bigger foodie thn i m :). He suggested y nt try Northen Tadka which is near Evershine Movie Time  Theater in Malad(East).

Let me take u thru the process of enterin this amazing place –

The moment we entered we were stuck wid the typical north indian ambience. Also we had an opportunity to watch the bhangda show which is being scheduled every now and then. The food there is awesome both veg and non veg.

Since i am a veggie to the core and many of them are too, we generally tend to order veg food. Their finger lickin starters name “Bhuna hua Bhutta” is too good for those who can devour masala and spicy food. Also their paneer varities are nice. We also had an opportunity to try out their seekh kebabs which were not bad either i must say. In the main course the spicy chatpata aloos , dal makhani, paneer makhanwala is like heaven for those typical north indian foodies in mumbai. There are variety of choices for indian bread to select from. The cocktail blue lagoon one of the finest and  i wud recommend it to people. Also they provide an awesome refresing drink “jaljeera” which i know is very common.. but i havent had such a nice drink anywhere else.

Ending ur perfect food with an awesome and typically indian deserts like jalebi, gulabjamun is mindblowing. Also u get jalebis free as complimentary sometimes 😉 so watch out for those :). Also it provides a good value for money food, the meal for 2 should cost around 700 – 800 bucks.

So that was about it.. Me bein not a keen lover of north indian food njoyed it.. Hope u pass by ther soon and like it..

  1. I would like to say, this was one of the earliest restaurants I visited in Mumbai, and boy what an impression it left.
Be it be Abhishek or Khyati herself… everyone njyed the food

The place is hip.. with many restaurants in the vicinity… and trust me this one gives one of the best value for money food in almost all the punjabi restaurants I have tried out.

And yeah, Bhangra is a bonus 😉
